International Community
Our chapter’s dedicated involvement in a worldwide movement of emergency response means we increasingly serve the global community through messaging, education, and partnerships with our Sister Societies in the International Red Cross movement. Through the Red Cross Tracing Services and Red Cross Messaging programs, the chapter helps families locate each other, send communications, and learn each other’s fate during times of natural disaster or armed conflict.
Over the past five years, our chapter has been privileged to work with our Sister Red Cross Societies in countries such as Armenia, Grenada, and Bosnia-Herzegovina transferring skills and knowledge in the areas of CPR, First Aid Training and youth programs, such as the International Youth Ambassadors program.
Through the Community of Bosnia program, the chapter provided host families, scholarships, and case management services to students from the war-torn Balkan region who are attending local high schools and universities. To further expand our services to the international community, the chapter established an International Services department solely dedicated to offering services to the global community.
