
Lifeline Home Service Representative
Reports To: Director, H & SFLSA Status: Per Diem
SUMMARY
Installs communicator or provides service calls in the subscriber's home as well as educates subscriber, responder and family members about the system. Must be able to provide 2 workdays a week from 8:30-4:30, flexible with the days.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Installs Lifeline units in a timely fashion.
· Provides timely, cordial contact with new subscriber for home visits.
· Connects the Lifeline service to the subscriber's phone line.
· Performs appropriate tests of the system.
· Educates the subscriber and family members about system features and benefits.
· Completes necessary paperwork related to the installation.
· Provides service calls, including troubleshooting.
· Communicates regularly with Lifeline Manager and Lifeline Specialist for assignments.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Related experience with communications equipment and in working with older adults.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Current driver's license. Appropriate clearance of criminal background check. References must be satisfactory.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Own transportation required. Must have good organizational and interpersonal skills. Flexible schedule required.
