Mabel Boardman led the Red Cross after it received its Congressional Charter in
1905. During her tenure, the Red Cross established an endowment fund, created its

Henri Dunant was the Swiss businessman who founded the International Red Cross
and Red Crescent Movement in 1863 after witnessing the painful plight of wounded

million beneficiaries each year.

Sue Williams was a devoted volunteer of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Chapter

Clara Barton worked tirelessly in the battlefields of the American Civil War and
the Franco-Prussian War. She founded the American Red Cross in 1881 after
