Position Title

Administrative Assistant

Purpose

To work on a part-time basis to assist with various assignments to support the organization’s efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Willingness to support Red Cross Mission
  • Provide administrative support to the Department
  • Maintain and update brochures, flyers and training materials
  • Develop and maintain Department calendar
  • Data input into numerous databases and maintain data integrity
  • Organizing and filing documents
  • Operate office equipment (fax, copier, shredder, etc.)

Relationships

Reports to department’s volunteer coordinator

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a professional office setting utilizing all applicable equipment
  • Knowledge of databases and MS Office products
  • Proficiency in People Soft and Power Point is desired
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact easily with staff and volunteers of diverse backgrounds
  • Must be organized and details oriented
  • Must be a team player and demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a volunteer environment
  • Experience in administrative, management, recruitment or a business related field
  • Strong computer proficiency required including knowledge of MS Office
  • Experience working with volunteers is desired
  • Ability to write professional reports and business correspondence
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a detail-oriented environment

  • Orientation to American Red Cross
