Front Desk Receptionist

Purpose

The front desk receptionist has overall responsibility for answering the main switchboard, performs clerical work, record keeping or other assignments as needed. Key Responsibilities include, willingness to support Red Cross Mission, answer incoming telephone calls and take messages, perform clerical assignments, file as needed, backup coworkers as needed, be familiar with and adhere to all organizational policies and procedures, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Good telephone skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be organized
  • Ability to attend to details
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to writer routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
  • Typing and data entry skills useful
