Position Title

Staff Aide – Data Entry

Purpose

The duties of the staff aide – data entry volunteer focuses on organizing and keeping volunteer personnel records for all volunteers in the department through the CHERS and PeopleSoft database.

Key Responsibilities

  • Willingness to support Red Cross Mission
  • Enter new volunteer data from volunteer profile
  • Record volunteer monthly activity
  • Prepare statistical reports
  • Update volunteer records
  • Backup coworkers as needed
  • Be familiar with and implement all organizational policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

Reports to Volunteer Recruiter

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of computer database applications
  • Detail oriented
  • Understanding of confidentiality requirements as they pertain to volunteer personnel records and their importance to the organization and to the individuals concerned.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondences.
  • Ability to learn CHERS and PeopleSoft databases
