Purpose |
Vehicle Maintenance Volunteer aranges for State Inspections, periodic maintenance, repair and checks on the overall condition of suburban vehicles. |
Key Responsibilities |
- Willingness to support Red Cross Mission
- Schedule repair and service appointments as indicated and arrange for vehicle delivery and return.
- Follow-up reports of problems, malfunctions and take necessary action
- Check fluid levels, tires, the overall condition of body and mechanical operation and complete the monthly inspection and service report.
- Report to Volunteer Coordinator all maintenance work considered and any related matters which indicate a need for additional action
- Be familiar with and implement all organizational policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications |
- Valid driver's license and good driving record – clear of motor vehicle accidents or major violations
- Knowledge of standard maintenance recommendations, familiarity with auto mechanical systems
- Clear motor vehicle record
- Have minimum insurance coverage required by State of Pennsylvania.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
