In the Spotlight
Three Things Led Tom Riethof to the Red Cross...
A Desire to Help, to Teach, and to Make a Difference
Tom is able to fulfill each of these at the Red Cross by sharing his time, talents and funds. “I CAN’T BELIEVE I’VE BEEN VOLUNTEERING FOR 30 YEARS. THE PEOPLE I’VE MET, HELPED AND WORKED WITH PROVIDED AN EXPERIENCE THAT I WILL NEVER FORGET,” says Tom.
Since 1979, Tom has volunteered as a health and safety instructor and a Montgomery County disaster responder. From hurricanes to earthquakes to floods, Tom has offered a smile and a shoulder to lean on for those struck by disaster.
Aside from volunteering, Tom has been contributing to the Red Cross for 20 years. For his generosity, Tom has been named a member of SEPA’s newly launched, Red Cross Council – founded to honor and thank donors like Tom.
“TOM IS EXEMPLARY OF THE DEDICATED AND CARING INDIVIDUALS WHO REPRESENT THIS CHAPTER. IT’S THANKS TO GENEROUS DONORS LIKE HIM THAT THE RED CROSS CAN FULFILL OUR MISSION DAY IN AND DAY OUT,” says Tom Foley, Chief Executive Officer.
SEPA is proud to know that there’s someone like Tom who is ready, willing and able to make a difference any way he can.
