SAP Americas Redefines the Meaning of Corporate Citizenship
Sharing the Red Cross commitment to the region, SAP Americas was among the first to step forward and join the Southeastern Pennsylvania Chapter’s Corporate Partners Program at the “Hero” level.
Over the past five years, SAP’s support has grown with the needs of the SEPA’s vital work. In addition to financial support, SAP underwrites events and encourages its employees to serve the community by volunteering.
In October, SAP extended its partnership and selected SEPA as a recipient organization during SAP Month of Service. In this capacity, SAP employees spent a day painting the Red Cross House.
Since April 2004, the company has been giving its employees an opportunity to make every hole they play truly count by launching their corporate fundraiser, ParsForCharity Golf-A-Thon. This unique, online golf tournament promotes goodwill while increasing competitive fun and inter-departmental camaraderie.
“It is our responsibility to help build a better future for all, and we are proud to be partnering with the American Red Cross to make this happen,” said Terry Laudal, Senior Vice President of Human Resources, SAP Americas. “I challenge other corporate leaders to get involved.”
