March is Red Cross Month

A Celebration of America’s Hometown Heroes

During March, the Red Cross is honoring our hometown heroes. Heroes like you - whose commitment enables us to give help and hope for unexpected emergencies.

Each year, the American Red Cross responds to 70,000 disasters – almost 900 are right here in our community. It is only with your support that we are able to answer these calls for help.

Join us in painting the town red during Red Cross Month to raise awareness of our lifesaving work. Find your own personal way to take part this celebration of heroes by visiting www.RedCross-Philly.org/March.

Be a Hero: Step up again this March by sharing your time, blood or financial support.

Dine Out for Disaster Relief: Dine out at a participating restaurant and making a difference. Make sure your favorite restaurant is participating.

Dress Red: Wear your favorite red shirt and Red Cross pin. Host a dress red day at your organization where employees can wear jeans and red in exchange for a donation of $5.

Read for Relief: Make it a family thing. Encourage your child to read a new book and ask for donations for each page or book the child reads.
