Greetings,

As we head into National Preparedness Month, it's worth reviewing the impact and accomplishments of Southeastern Pennsylvania Voluntary Organizations in Disaster (SEPA VOAD).

The regional collaboration currently brings together 113 agencies from our five-county area, drawing on their resources and their personnel to prepare Southeastern Pennsylvania for disaster. More than 1,300 VOAD and Citizen Corps volunteers stand ready to serve in time of crisis. Since its founding in 2002, SEPA VOAD has trained more than 2,500 in critical preparedness and disaster response skills.

That impact is due to grow in the coming year as SEPA VOAD plans a series of preparedness conferences and other key training initiatives throughout the region. To all our SEPA VOAD volunteers, we say thank you for doing your part to make sure we are ready when the time comes.

Best regards,

Tom Foley
Chief Executive Officer
