Greetings,

Welcome to the Spring 2008 edition of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (SEPA VOAD) newsletter.

VOAD was founded on the four principles of communication, cooperation, coordination and collaboration, and the work of SEPA VOAD bears out that spirit of partnership. This newsletter chronicles work that we are doing in each of the five counties-- Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia--to prepare our region for disaster.

In the last year alone, we've grown by 60% to more than 150 partner agencies and more than 2,000 trained disaster volunteers who are credentialed to serve in time of need. SEPA VOAD is truly a team effort, and we thank all of you for playing a critical role.

Sincerely,

Tom Foley
