Welcome to the Summer 2008 edition of the
Southeastern Pennsylvania Voluntary
Organizations
Active in Disaster (SEPA VOAD) newsletter.
VOAD was founded on the four principles of
communication, cooperation, coordination and
collaboration, and the work of SEPA VOAD
bears out
that spirit of partnership. This newsletter
chronicles
work that we are doing in each of the five
counties --
Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and
Philadelphia -- to prepare our region for disaster.
In the last year alone, we've doubled in size to more than 200 partner agencies and 3,000 trained disaster volunteers who are credentialed to serve in time of need. SEPA VOAD is truly a team effort, and we thank all of you for playing a critical role.

from around the country met in Little Rock,
Arkansas the week of May 5, 2008, to discuss
disaster assistance and improvements to the

| National Agency Focus: Christian Reformed World Relief Committee |
| |
The goals of the Christian Reformed World
Relief Committee (CRWRC) are to connect with
Long-term Recovery Organizations (LTROs) and
VOADs in this region, to get to know the
people involved, to make you aware of what
resources CRWRC can offer, and to coordinate
CRWRC assistance in the event of a disaster.
