VOAD volunteers had a chance to find out thanks to a terrorism drill sponsored by the Red Cross and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

The Red Cross hosted an interfaith conference - offering representatives from various faith-based groups - insight on how to work together in preparation for, and in the aftermath of disasters.

We would like to welcome our newest volunteers from the Bucks County Retired and Senior Volunteer (RSVP) program.

In the short time they have been with us, RSVP volunteers have participated in a fire prevention walk through and the Bucks County health flu immunization drill.

Is Bucks County ready for a pandemic flu outbreak?

The county's Emergency Operations Center got its answer while VOAD volunteers from the Bucks County Retired and Senior Volunteer Program helped more than 3,300 residents receive their flu vaccines.

The Department of Homeland Security has released an online course focusing on terrorism and weapons of mass destruction.

The six course program is now available and offers detailed information about terrorism and organizational roles in the event of a terrorist attack.
