Greetings!

Happy New Year!

As we enter a new year, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your willingness to respond to community needs when a large-scale disaster occurs.

In 2006, SEPA VOAD helped support the American Red Cross through various preparedness activities and disaster relief operations. VOAD volunteers assisted with the flooding response in July and played an integral role in the Lebanese repatriation efforts at the Philadelphia Airport in August. In October, VOAD joined forces with several organizations for a fire safety walkthrough, distributing fire-related information to the most fire-prone areas in our five county region.

We're looking forward to a new year with new beginnings, including the debut of the VOAD e-newsletter and website. We welcome any feedback you may have to improve or expand upon these new communication tools.

I hope you had a wonderful holiday and best wishes for a safe and healthy new year.

Sincerely,

Tom Foley
Chief Executive Officer

Maureen Tomoschuk
Senior Director Emergency Services
