Children & Youth
The American Red Cross helps empower the children of today to become leaders of tomorrow by allowing them to give back to their communities by donating their time, their skills, and their energies. Our youth have been vital members of the Red Cross volunteer team, and the Community Education Youth Programs at the Southeastern Pennsylvania Chapter are designed to help them respond to the needs of the community, as well as themselves. Whether it's through participation in our Red Cross Clubs, Disaster Preparedness Education and Youth Safety Programs, youth are making a difference. Additionally, older youth can become certified babysitters, take part in First Aid/CPR/AED, Pet First Aid, and Life Guard Certification programs allowing them to make their communities a safer place to live. Reaching over 80,000 children a year, SEPA's youth programs are committed to strengthening service learning, citizenship, and leadership - skills needed to help make the transition from school to career more fluid.
