Red Cross Responds To 8-Alarm Fire

At 5 p.m. on August 13 a devastating fire struck the Millennium Apartment Complex in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, forcing the evacuation of four buildings containing over 200 units. By making your gift today you’re helping the Red Cross remain ready to response the minute tragedy strikes.

Your local American Red Cross was there immediately—offering comfort, help, and hope to people who have lost everything.

Right now, our staff and Disaster Action Team volunteers are operating an Emergency Service Center at the Spring Mill Firehouse.   We are offering money for food and clothing to the 375 residents who lost their homes in this devastating fire.  We are also partnering with the apartment property management company to make sure each victim receives shelter they need.

Our volunteers are also working one-on-one with individual clients to address their specific needs; including offering emotional care and assisting them with the replacement of any medication they may have lost in the fire.

The American Red Cross Southeastern Pennsylvania Chapter is committed to helping each disaster victim begin to rebuild their lives.

Our disaster assistance is always free of charge.  Victims pay nothing.  That is why your donation to the Red Cross is critical.  It is only with your help that the Red Cross is able to provide immediate aid and to help families take the first steps toward recovery.

The American Red Cross Southeastern Pennsylvania Chapter will cover the costs of this disaster recovery through the local disaster relief fund.  The Red Cross anticipates that the cost of this recovery effort may be upwards of $100,000.

By making your gift today, you’re helping the Red Cross remain ready to respond the minute tragedy strikes.
