Volunteer Development Initiative
Set for July Kick-off
Training &
Volunteer Development Coordinator Nancy Berger and Americorps member
Emily Speak are proud to announce
our new Volunteer Development
Initiative! The initiative is designed to offer DAT volunteers
development opportunities and give them a refreshing perspective on how
their Red Cross experiences fit into the broader mission and their own
communities.

Commitment to the
Red Cross Mission
To reach these
goals, the initiative asks DATs to host speakers and workshops during
monthly meetings and to host full-length trainings twice a year.
A resource
guidebook and online Yahoo Group are being created to support DATs in
hosting these events.
DAT captains and
coordinators will receive copies of the guidebook with an additional
guidebook to be shared among team members. The contents of the guidebook
will also be posted on the online group for all members to view. All DAT
members will receive an invitation by email to join the online group.
