Updated CPR/AED/First Aid

Guidelines and Curriculum

The updated CPR/AED/First Aid guidelines and curriculum will start to be incorporated into the Adult CPR/AED and Standard First Aid courses

beginning July 2006.

The new materials will be available in June, and instructors will become acquainted with it over the coming month.

Certifications issued from July 2005 through June 2006, for Adult CPR/AED and Standard First Aid, are valid for 1 year from the date they are issued.

Beginning next month, all volunteers and staff are required to complete the full Adult CPR/AED and Standard First Aid courses under the new guidelines and curriculum.

Therefore, refresher courses will not be offered until July 2007 when the full updated training has been offered for one year.
