(Prerequisite for Logistics Simulation) Logistics Simulation provides an opportunity to practice the knowledge and skills needed to run a successful logistical operation in the chapter. (Prerequisite - Logistics: An Overview)
This refresher course reviews choking, breathing and cardiac emergencies, and Automated External Defibrillators (AED). First Aid will also review the skills needed for situations such as bleeding and sudden illnesses. CPR/AED is renewed every year; First Aid is renewed every 3 years. Refresher course for those who need to renew their certification.
Volunteers, who have joined the SEPA Chapter in the past year, should attend this local indoctrination to Emergency Services. New volunteers will receive an overview of the SEPA Chapter’s background, staff and volunteer structure, and how to join a disaster action team (DAT).
