Citizen of the Year
For the past 26 years,the American Red Cross Southeastern Pennsylvania Chapter has been honoring a local citizen for his/her outstanding corporate leadership and commitment to our region's civic and charitable organizations.
The American Red Cross of Southeastern Pennsylvania is pleased to honor Joseph A. Frick, President and CEO of Independence Blue Cross, as the 2008 Citizen of the Year.

Red Cross Month a Success
Our signature event - The Red Ball was a huge hit, with more than 1,100 attendees and grossed over $180,000 raised to support our one-of-a-kind Red Cross House. Guests enjoyed food from over 30 restaurants, stopped for "red carpet" photos, and danced the night away.
Other events like the Help Can't Wait Awards contributed to a great month.
